The quest to find Kirsten Dunst’s mystery shoe

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve loved Kirsten Dunst’s style for a long time.  I’d often see candid pictures of her around wearing these sandals and was never able to track down the brand.. until now.

My internet sleuthing skills have lead me to find that the brand is Worishofer, a German comfort brand.

$140 plastic shoes

Please don’t tell me this is a new trend. Salvatore Ferragamo presents “Spiffy” Lattice Jelly Sandals. Yes, Jelly Sandals. The plastic, blister inducing 90s childhood shoe of summers gone by is here again for some reason. And these bad boys will cost you $140.

I hope this are going to be worn in the most ironic sense possible.  If not, I declare FUG.

Summer sandal suggestions

Summers can be a drag in the city.  The humidity, the pollution, and worst off: sore and sweaty feet.

To keep cool and comfortable in the hot months I suggest the following sandals season:

Clark: Spa.  Totally simplstic yet trendy enough to be worn for a night out.

Birkenstock: Giseh Birko.  Birks are back.  Or have they really ever been gone?  This strappy look is a rare bread of chic and comfort.  What’s not to love?

Bass: Sharon.  I remember my mom used to wear Bass sandles all the time back in the late 80s and early 90s.  Now they are here again in this simple style.

Springtime kicks

One shoe that has really been gaining popularity over the years is the classic Sperry Top-Sider.  Yes, boat shoes.  Everyone from trendy women in the city to the fictional TV character Tony Soprano have been sporting the nautically inspired footwear.  They are a spring staple to any wardrobe and can even transcend seasons however I associate them most with spring.

I recommend Bluefish 2 Eye in Linen/Oat simply because the colors can go with any outfit.  It can be dressed up or down depending on your outfit.

Shod between storms…

workboot

These workboots (by Seychelles) are great for days when it may not be snowing or sleeting, but the sky is ominously dark, and the wind threatening. Brave the temperatures with these and don’t break your stride. A great between season boot.

Keep your feet dry

Snow Day!

white mukluksIf the ice and blizzards have got you down, try a pair of these gorgeous mukluks (by Mocs) and see if you don’t feel any better. The combination of white leather, rabbit fur, and embroidered detailing would make a winter storm feel like an excuse for a long walk outstide. Steer clear of mud!
